Your hair and skin deserve better than shortcuts. Our bonnets are crafted from premium Mulberry Silk, naturally produced by silkworms fed exclusively on Mulberry leaves. If you prefer synthetic fabrics or mass‑produced satin, there are plenty of options out there, but our pieces are made for those who invest in longevity and better health.
Is this real silk or satin?
Real silk. 19 momme, 100% mulberry. Satin is a weave, not a fiber, most "satin" bonnets are polyester. That's why every box ships with a polyester swatch: feel the swatch, then feel your bonnet. You'll know within three seconds which one you've been sleeping in.
Will it work for my hair type?
Yes. Silk works by reducing friction between your hair and the surface it moves against overnight, and that applies to every texture, 1a through 4c, fine, coarse, protective styles, freshly straightened, second-day curls. Bonnets got typecast as a product for one hair type. The material doesn't care.
Will it actually stay on all night?
The band is wide and lined in the same 19 momme silk, so it grips without digging in or leaving a line across your forehead. If yours slips off, tell us, that's a fit issue and we'll sort it out.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent, or use a laundry bag on your machine's delicate cycle. Air dry out of direct sun. No dryer, no bleach, no fabric softener. Cared for properly, real silk holds up for years, that's a large part of what you're paying for.
